Welcome to the first episode of the podcast. In this opening chapter, we pull back the curtain on the environment that shaped it all- exploring the chaos of a childhood built on survival, the weight of generational poverty, and the quiet, heavy normalization of neglect. But this story isn't just about the wreckage of the past; its about discovering that no matter how deep the ash, you are never too far gone for redemption. Join me as I lay the foundation for a journey toward true freedom, healing and hope found in Christ. For prayer or questions reach out to Angelina at: TheAmericanMissions@gmail.com

Have you ever sat in a room with a doctor, a therapist, or a counselor who looked you right in the eye and told you that your trauma, the weight that you're carrying, the patterns that you just can't seem to break, that those things are just something that you're going to inherit, that you're going to pass them down, and you're going to have to manage those things for the rest of your life. I want you to know right now that that is a lie. Welcome to the very first episode. If you found your way here, chances are you know exactly what it feels like to suffer in silence. You know what it's like to look around and wonder how everyone else makes life look so effortless. While you're just trying to keep your head above the water. For a long time, the journey seems tumultuous. It's dark. You're scared and you're frightened. And the path forward feels foggy and stormy. You're spinning in circles, and you're genuinely just don't know how to get back to solid ground. You feel like you're just too far out to be saved. I know that place intimately because I lived it. And for the longest time, I couldn't even allow myself to believe that a real solution even existed. It felt like some sort of cruel joke. Every time I tried to climb out, the ground would shift underneath me. But I am living proof that there is a way out. I have found the solution. And this is why this podcast exists. In every single episode to come, we're going to tear down the old narrative that says you are broken beyond repair. We're going to stop managing the symptoms and start targeting the root. Episode by episode, I'm going to share the actual stories of my life, the exact turns, the mistakes, the breakthroughs, and the unvarnished truth of how I walked out of the dark. This theory isn't from a textbook. It's the blueprint of my own survival. And I'm handing it over to you piece by piece. Think of this space as like the light of the lighthouse. When you're out on dark, stormy waters, you don't need somebody standing on the shore shouting instructions. You just need a steady beacon cutting through the fog so that you can finally see where the rocks are. Take a breath and steer your ship home. If you're tired of the darkness, if you're exhausted from fighting alone, and if you are ready to hear the truth about what real healing looks like, you are in the exact right place. Take a deep breath. Let's turn on the lights and begin.
